Sun 13th July Welcome Reception-O'Reilly Hall, UCD

The Welcome Reception will give delegates a chance to meet up and catch up in a relaxed environment.

Free to registrants.

Mon 14th July State Reception -Dublin Castle-We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control the State Reception is cancelled.

Tues 15th July Dublin Literary Pub Crawl

The Dublin Literary Pub Crawl is an animated and entertaining trail through the sights and sounds that inspired the pantheon of great Irish writers including: James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, Brendan Behan, Sean O'Casey, Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde and W.B Yeats.

The Dublin Literary Pub Crawl will take you to famous literary pubs and haunts while an actor regales you with verse, prose, drama and songs from Irish literatures best-loved works. You can enjoy a pint while learning about the lives of these great writers and some of the hilarious stories that became folklore in Dublin's literary circles.

Cost: €45.00

Includes Actor to guide delegates, three drinks and transport.

Time: Two different start times: 20.00hrs and 21.00hrs and last approx 2 hours.

Tues 15th July Irish Night at The Merry Plough Boy

Delegates will enjoy a night of Irish Music, Song, and Dance at The Merry Ploughboy Pub. The night starts with a three course dinner, the entertainment commences with Ireland's leading traditional Irish music group The Merry Ploughboys, a traditional Irish music band who have been performing to audiences in Dublin since 1989. Midway through, All-Ireland and World champion Irish Dancers from Dublin and beyond perform a specially commissioned show. After the dancing, the Irish music kicks off again and the musicians really up the tempo for the final part of the evening. Both musicians and dancers involve the entire audience in this electric performance.

Cost: €75.00

Includes transport, dinner, wine with dinner and entertainment.

Time: Starts 19.00hrs and ends approx 23.00hrs.

Wed 16th July Mid Conference Tours

Delegates will have the option to attend one of the tours below:

A) IBC Hike-Wicklow Way-Please Note this Tour is now Full, to be placed on cancellation list please contact: leah@conferencepartners.ie

This hillwalk will set off from Glendalough and takes you through some of the

most spectacular Wicklow scenery ascending the Spinc (pointed hill). The trail

rises beside the Poulanass Waterfall before joining a boardwalk leading to a

viewing point over the Glendalough lakes. The walk then skirts the clifftop before

descending through bog and heath to the Glenealo valley and back down into

Glendalough.

Cost: €40

Time: Tour leaves UCD 11.30hrs and returns to Dublin at approx 19.00hrs.

B) Glendalough Lakes and Monastic Settlements

This tour will travel past the costal areas of Dublin, en route to Glendalough. The

first stop will be Powerscourt House and Gardens where you will have lunch.

The next stop will be Glendalough, the picturesque Valley of Two Lakes, where

a monastic settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th Century and over

the next 600 years grew to become famous throughout Europe as a centre for

learning. You will visit the Centre which houses a comprehensive exhibition on

Glendalough detailing the history, archaeology, wildlife and much more. You are

then free to explore the monastery site and walk along the shores of the lakes.

Cost: €50

Lunch is included in the cost.

Times: Tour Leaves 11.30hrs and returns to Dublin at approx 19.00hrs.

C) Dublin Bay & Castle Tour

After a brief introduction to Dublin City, the tour then meanders through the

picturesque fi shing village of Howth towards Howth Summit where there will be

a stop to enjoy the breathtaking views of Dublin Bay. You will then visit the pretty

coastal village of Malahide where you will stop for lunch. The next stop will be

the 14th century Malahide Castle where you can enjoy a guided tour and have

time to wander in the craft shops and gardens. The tour will conclude with a scienic drive back to Dublin.

Cost: €55

Times: Tour leaves UCD 11.30hrs and returns to Dublin 17.00hrs

D) Dublin City Tour

This is a guided tour of Dublin City which gives you a fantastic insight into the

soul and history of Dublin. Here you will visit the famous Dublin Castle where

you will be given a detailed guided tour. Lunch will be served in the Chester

Beatty Library Restaurant. From there you will go to the Guinness Storehouse

where you will see where the magic happens and enjoy a fantastic view of Dublin from the Gravity Bar.

Cost: €60

Lunch is included in the cost.

Time: Tour leaves UCD and 11.30hrs and returns 17.00hrs

Wed 16th July Irish Night at Old Jameson Distillery

A traditional Irish evening will take place at the world famous Old Jameson Distillery. Your evening begins with a drinks reception and guided tour of the distillery. Guests may also join a whiskey tasting session. This relaxed evening includes Irish music and 'craic' and also contemporary 'Riverdance' style dancing, paired with a delicious meal.

Cost: €90

Includes dinner, wine with dinner, an Irish coffee, entertainment and transportation.

Time: Starts at 19.00hrs and finishes approx 23.00hrs.

Thurs 17th July Gala Dinner-O'Reilly Hall, UCD

The gala dinner will be held in the O'Reilly Hall in UCD. The evening will include sumptuous food and an exciting entertainment programme.

Cost: €70

Includes dinner, wine with dinner and entertainment.

Time: Starts at 19.30hrs and finishes approx 23.00hrs.

Accompanying Persons Tour

Dublin City Hop On Hop Off

This fully guided tour gives you an overall flavour of our historic and ancient city. Tour departs every 6 - 15mins throughout the day and stops along the tour route which includes Trinity College, The Guiness Store House, Dublin Castle, St. Patricks Cathedral, Kilmainham Gaol and the Old Jameson Distillery.

Time: Total Duration is approximately 90 mins

Cost: Included in the accompanying persons package €125 and can be used at anytime during the conference.
