International Congress of Meat Science and Technology

The International Congress of Meat Science and Technology (ICoMST) is the annual forum for the international exchange of new scientific ideas in meat science. The aim of ICoMST is to enhance the co-operation and exchange of information between academic researchers and industry researchers in the field of meat science and technology.

The meetings focus on the latest findings in specific areas, critical reviews of work in relevant fields as well as updating attendees on current issues to be addressed. The organising body for the annual congress is the group of National Contact Persons. This is a truly global body with representation from all major meat producing countries. Attendance at the conference reflects this, with attendees from up to 50 different nations. Researchers with different levels of scientific experience have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas. Students and young researchers are particularly encouraged to attend.

The congress is organised each year by a committee of meat scientists from the host country, and the committee is normally chaired by the National Contact Person.
