Abstract Submission Guidelines
Reports of new work are invited for either oral or poster presentation at the Congress.
These will relate specifically to the sessions listed in the Outline Programme.
Contributed oral abstracts are allocated 15 minutes each (presentation time of 12 minutes and 3 minutes for discussion).
There will be an invited speaker presenting for 30 minutes and 6 contributed oral abstracts of 15 minutes each. Or there will be two invited speakers for 1 hour and 4 contributed oral abstracts of 15 minutes each.
A maximum of two abstracts may be submitted for each first author. Authors are requested to indicate their preference for oral or poster presentation. Submissions not accepted for oral presentation will be considered for acceptance as posters.
The instructions for submission and the method of publication are identical for oral and poster abstracts. A single page abstract must be submitted to arrive by 15th March 2006 using the downloadable Offered Abstract Submission Form and following the instructions given below. It is strongly advised that authors have their abstract checked prior to submission by a native English speaker.
We expect the abstracts to be submitted electronically to wblau@tcd.ie If difficulties are experienced with the downloadable Offered Abstract Submission Form, a hard copy of the form can be obtained from ICSM, Prof Werner Blau, Research Director, Sami Nasr Institute for Advanced Materials, Physics Department, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin 2. Tel: +353 1 608 1708 Fax: +353 1 671 1759 Email: wblau@tcd.ie and a hard copy of the completed form should be returned to that address.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and authors will be informed of provisional acceptance or rejection of the abstract by 31 March 2006. Provisionally accepted abstracts will enter an editorial process and be returned for checking prior to inclusion in the Proceedings. Acceptance of the abstract will be confirmed provided that the Congress Registration Fee is paid for all of the authors before 7th April 2006.
